HBBE Annual Summit 2021 – Biotechnology for the Built Environment, 6-9 July 2021

The Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment (HBBE) is pleased to announce their first annual summit. This free, online, four day event will host international speakers who are leaders in biotechnology, design and fields related to the built environment, as well as showcasing the early work emerging from the HBBE.

Organised around our four research themes – Microbial Environments, Living Construction, Building Metabolism and Responsible Interactions – the event will address questions of how biotechnology may help construct more sustainable, ecological and liveable environments. You are welcome and able to attend one, or as many of the event days as you wish, although HBBE encourage you to attend all four days to maximise the impact of the event.
