Healthcare Innovation Sandbox – Building Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, 7 March 2023

Are you a business looking to make a positive impact on healthcare? Are you a researcher with cutting-edge ideas for improving patient outcomes? Join Wessex Academic Health Science Network & partners for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) sandbox event, where organisers bring together the NHS, academic and business experts to explore and develop new technologies and solutions for healthcare delivery. This is a unique opportunity to build funded collaborations with some of the leading minds in the field, and to see first-hand the potential of your ideas to improve patient care.

Tuesday 7 March 2023, 17:00 – 20:30 GMT, Axis Conference Centre, Southampton Science Park

If you have an idea for your business but do not have all the in-house expertise needed to develop it, a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) may be the perfect solution. Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Advisers explain why in this video.

KTPs have been helping UK businesses innovate for growth over the last 47 years, they are an extremely successful and funded innovation programme delivered by Innovate UK.

They bring together a dynamic three-way collaboration – between a business or not for profit organisation, a UK university or research organisation, and a suitably qualified graduate. The KTP enables privileged and cost-effective access to world class knowledge and expertise to deliver a strategic innovation project for the business, generate new knowledge, bring about transformative change and embed new capability.

For more information please see the KTP programme website where they summarise the programme’s benefits for businesses and provide details on the application process.

This will be a fast-paced interactive event with the opportunity to apply for Wessex Academic Health Science Network seed funding to catalyse full scale partnership applications through Innovate UK’s KTP programme.

The event is suitable for university researchers and health related businesses which are at market. Early stage or pre-launch companies may not find it best use of their time.
