KTN Biofilms Workshop & Report – Now Available for Download

In February 2018, NBIC attended a workshop organised by the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN). This was a one day session attended by companies and universities to get a common understanding of the unmet needs across a range of industrial sectors in the context of biofilms. This ranged from Marine, Medical, Oil to Water, Personal Care, and Agriculture.

NBIC were present and an introduction to NBIC and the services we provide was made.

During the workshop, the research and industrial participants discussed and voted for potential priorities in different sectors. The top 4 ranked priorities across all sectors are:

  1. Standardised models
  2. Inhibit formation/adhesion of biofilms
  3. Data collection-big data analysis
  4. Real time detection: what is present or could be a problem

The report of the workshop is now available. To find out more about the needs in biofilms research across sectors, and what suggestions were raised to meet those needs, please download the report.

The Report is now published and available for download. Please forward this to others in your organisation who may find it useful.
