Molecular Microbial Ecology Group 2024 Meeting, 16-17 December 2024
Applied Microbiology International‘s Molecular Microbial Ecology Group (MMEG) is excited to welcome attendees to this year’s meeting, hosted by the University of Southampton.
Set over two days, from 16-17 December 2024, the event takes place at the National Oceanography Centre located within the port of Southampton.
Our NBIC CEO, Professor Jo Slater-Jefferies will be taking part in the Panel Session: Building a Personalised Career in Science.
MMEG 2024 offers a welcoming and supportive setting for students and postdoctoral researchers to showcase their work. It’s an excellent chance not only to build professional networks but also to gain valuable insights and feedback through discussions with fellow microbial ecology researchers—an essential component for career progression.
Topics range from fundamental to applied research in microbial ecology, including terrestrial and marine ecosystems, metabolic pathways, biogeochemical cycling, biodegradation, biotechnology, and human microbiome, among others. Except for a single plenary lecture and panel discussion, all the talks will be given by early career scientists. A conference dinner will be held on the Monday evening to provide further opportunity for networking and discussion.
