Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Doctoral Training Programme
The Nottingham BBSRC Doctoral Training Partnership is led by the University of Nottingham in partnership with Nottingham Trent University and NBIC, and offers fully funded, four-year PhD studentships that are aligned to strategic priorities supported by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). This training programme is designed to provide you with the skills and experience you need to be successful in your PhD journey and beyond.
Recruitment for standard DTP studentships and CASE industry-linked studentships is now open.

- an overview of the application and interview process;
- interview skills workshop
- Presentation about PIPS (Professional Internships for Phd Students) and welfare
- Q&A with visa & immigration team

Thanks to £15m of funding awarded by the BBSRC, the Universities of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent are able offer this innovative four-year doctoral training programme that will provide you with world-class training in biotechnology and bioscience.
The programme offers a wide range of skills development opportunities to prepare you for a range of careers, whether in academia, industry, science policy and communication, education or beyond. You will also become part of a community that exchanges ideas and experiences within and across student groups.
