Biofilm Create! Photography
and Art Competition
2025 WINNERS
Our annual Biofilm Create! competition is a dynamic
celebration of science and creativity, inviting
scientists, students, industry professionals, artists,
photographers and members of the public to explore
and showcase biofilms from fresh perspectives.
The competition provides a unique platform for
scientists and industry professionals to communicate
their research, innovations and real-world applications
through imaginative and engaging creative works,
while artists, photographers and the wider public
discover the hidden beauty of biofilms in everyday
and unexpected environments.
The 2025 competition once again attracted an
outstanding range of high-quality entries across both
the art and photography categories. The creativity,
originality and technical excellence on display
reflected the breadth of talent and enthusiasm for
engaging with biofilm science in innovative ways.
Amazon gift cards were awarded to the first,
second and third place winners in both categories
in recognition of the exceptional standard of work
submitted.
