NBIC Exhibit at New Scientist Live: October 2022

We’re pleased to share that NBIC will be exhibiting at New Scientist Live from 7-9 October 2022!

New Scientist Live is an incredible weekend of thought-provoking talks, ground-breaking discoveries, and amazing interactive experiences. Hear from the best-loved names in science, including Helen Czerski, Eugenia Cheng, Christopher Jackson and Adam Rutherford, alongside up-and-coming researchers who are tackling some of humanity’s greatest challenges.

Visit the NBIC stand (D29) to learn all about biofilms!

Visitors will have the chance to contribute to building a giant craft biofilm, whilst learning about them. Visitors can then investigate concrete examples of biofilms in their daily life, for instance understanding how plaque (a biofilm) makes it more difficult to clean your teeth, by using water guns and giant mouth models, and how biofilms are essential to clean water in sewage treatment plants, through an activity about purifying water.

You can buy tickets for this event on the New Scientist Live website.
