We are delighted to announce that we are joining Cosmetics Cluster UK as a company member.
Cosmetics Cluster UK is an association created to enhance the growth and competitiveness of its members in the UK beauty industry, throughout the beauty supply chain, with a vision to be the point of reference for the UK beauty industry, by building business connections and promoting the UK industry, innovations and technologies.
The Cluster has four areas of focus: Education and Workforce Skills, Research and Innovation, Sustainability, Networks and Global Clusters and their mission is to connect companies in the cosmetics industry to support best practice, collaborations and solve challenges together.
As part of their Research and Innovation pillar, the Cluster will be collaborating on a project with NBIC to attract and support companies to work in the area of oral health.
Dr Katerina Steventon, NBIC Senior Innovation Consultant said,
“We are delighted to partner with the CCUK to help drive forward research and innovation in the microbiome/biofilm space in the personal care sector in the UK. Our first joint project will focus on attracting companies, especially SMEs, to work with the NBIC academics on collaborative research in a range of oral care products and technology applications – from toothpaste, mouthwash, denture care to mechanical toothbrushing. Our goal is to advance the technology, science and testing capability. Also to help businesses generate strong science led support for claims to raise their competitive advantage in the post Covid-19 market”.
